As of August 4th, more than 75 Texas Counties have implemented some type of water restrictions.

While water restrictions are voluntary in many Texas Counties, some counties like The City of Katy are entering Stage 3: SEVERE MANDATORY WATER RESTRICTIONS.

What does this mean for The City of Katy?

  • Restrictions are no longer voluntary; they are now mandatory.
  • The city is mandating that Monday’s remain a no watering day.
  • Watering is limited to two days per week, between certain times and only on water assigned days.

Mayor William H. “Dusty” Thiele is asking all City of Katy residents to abide by these restrictions in order to avoid fines and to report any watering violation to Public Works via email at droughtviolations@cityofkaty.com or by phone at 281-397-4020.
